The pastor of Empower is
Ismael Martín del Campo.
In 1993 he began his service in the City of South Gate with two families, his wife Oralia, and two small sons. Thanks to his leadership our temple is completely paid for and our church has more than two hundred members.
Our pastor is recognized nationally as a marriage and family counselor. He has counseled thousands of families. He studied for the Master of Theology at the Latin American Biblical University of Costa Rica from 1989 to 1991. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Religion from the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico in 2012. He is an author, bishop, a renowned educator, former vice president and currently the General Secretary in our family of churches, the Apostolic Assembly.
The Apostolic Doctrine
(Or the Teachings of the Original Followers of Jesus)
1. We believe the CHURCH of our Lord Jesus Christ is one, universal, and indivisible.
2. We believe in ONLY ONE GOD creator of everything in existence.
3. We believe that God in JESUS CHRIST fully dwells bodily.
4. We believe in HOLY SPIRIT'S baptism initially evident by speaking in new tongues.
5. We believe in BAPTISM IN WATER by immersion and in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. We believe in the literal practice of the LORD'S SUPPER that he himself instituted.
7. We believe in the literal RESURRECTION of our Lord Jesus Christ.
8. We believe in the RESURRECTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS & THE UNRIGHTEOUS.
9. We believe in the church's RAPTURE and the MILLENNIUM.
10. We believe in the LAST JUDGMENT, and in the NEW JERUSALEM.
11. We believe in DIVINE HEALING by faith and in the power of the Name of Jesus Christ.
12. We believe in HOLINESS, that is, a life consecrated to God's service.
13. We believe in MARRIAGE between one man and one woman.
14. We believe in the SEPARATION OF THE CHURCH & STATE.
15. We believe in NONCOMBATANT MILITARY SERVICE.
16. We believe that there is a SIN UNTO DEATH, that if committed salvation is lost.
17. We believe that the ECONOMIC SYSTEM of the church is by tithes and freewill offerings.
18. We believe in the MINISTERIAL BODY by divine calling.
